Thank You.

* When someone does you a favour, say 'Thank You'.

* When you finish with someone's service, say 'Thank You'.

* When you are leaving a job, say 'Thank You'.

* When someone helps you along the way, say 'Thank You'.

Just some of the etiquette 'rules' that will help you get on in the radio business.

You WILL meet the same people on the way down as you did on the way up.

They'll remember if you didn't thank them in the first place.

It's not rocket science, it's just being a decent human.

* It keeps you humble.

* It makes the other person feel appreciated.

* It helps you feel good about yourself and optimistic.

* It shows selflessness and respect for the other person.

* It's good for the soul.

No matter how good a presenter you are...if you become labelled as ungrateful, the word gets around. This is a small industry and that one label can damage your reputation. We've seen it happen. It's a fact. Learn to say 'Thank You'...and do it publicly sometimes.

Is there someone you need to thank today?

(BTW: If you read this far...Thank You!)
