How was the long weekend?
If you were one of the (lucky) ones who found themselves inside a four-day weekend, you might be finding it a bit odd heading back into work mode. Four days is enough to become comfortable with lie-ins, pittering and indulging your hobbies and pastimes. Now that you're back at work...you need to place the Professional hat back on.
How does it fit?
Is it as comfortable as before...or does it feel a little tight all of a sudden?
Whenever we break from our work, there is always the chance that the return will be a little jarring.
Try these:
1. Remember why you chose radio and what you love about it.
2. Pick a couple of instances from the last week you were in work that made you feel happy. Feel them.
3. If you travel to work, take something from home with you...a favourite mug, for example.
4. If you work from home, dress more business-like...get into the mindset.
5. On air, ask your audience how they feel about being back at work.
6. Listen to a recent link you are really proud of...or someone else who inspires you.
7. Crank out your favourite song...LOUD!!!!
8. Want that tub of ice-cream? Go for it!! Whatever it takes :)
