Christain Hall, who is VP of Brands & Content at Harvard Broadcasting in Canada, spoke about the latest Spotify direction.
They have just bought a sports-focused live-audio app. In other words, 'radio'!
My take on this?
* We can all learn so much from Spotify...not least their lack of fear.
* Sitting tight and hoping they go away won't work.
* Firing presenters and PDs is a loop that leads nowhere.
* Playing more music than your competitor was great in the 80s and 90s.
* Adapt and adopt both the platforms and the ideas but most of all - harness the positivity and ambition.
* Soak up the invention and tenacity and enter 2021.
