So, Bebo's coming back!
Millennials and Gen X-ers will be hit with a sense of nostalgia when they see the familiar logo and think back to their first steps on social media.
But will that be enough to make it a success?
Will you use Bebo?
Right now, you probably have your Facebook profile attached to a personal page and maybe even a Group as well as synced with Instagram. You may curate your Twitter feed and are possibly one of those people who has a LinkedIn profile but isn't quite sure why!
Bebo will need to hit on two fronts: the people who use SM just for fun and those who use it professionally. Can Bebo shake off its old image? Times have changed since we last heard from the Bebo-er's. Being able to post a pic and have your friends comment on it won't be enough in 2021.
I never had a Bebo account but have signed up to be part of the launch because...well, if you're not in etc.
For now, though...go take a look at your LinkedIn account. Really, that's where the 'grown-ups' hang out and you may be surprised how well it works for you. Just don't post pics of your cat. Maybe Bebo will like that... ;)
