As we head into 2021...one thing is very clear.
Hosting a radio show can no longer be the only way you speak to your audience.
OK, I know everyone has been saying this for ages - "You need video, you need podcasts..."
It's all true. The difference NOW is that you really have no choice.
Ignore your other platforms and you will be left behind. It's not an option anymore.
Radio stations are banging out extra content on other platforms...you as an individual, need to too.
Your audience lives on Insta, Twitter, Spotify, Youtube. You are just one of their choices today.
So go to where they live!
Set up a Twitch channel and start talking to them there. Bung your podcast on Apple and Google. Upload to Youtube...whatever one you like best.
But DO it!!
Have some sort of identity besides "the person on the radio".
Also, what happens if your radio show ends suddenly. What then?
Prepare for everything now. Build your new network now. Engage with your audience now.
Or build a new one!
But DO it!!!
