We were speaking about the Dutch station 'QMusic' during the week and how they are trialling wrap-around mics and ears buds in the studios instead of the traditional mics...and how they look 'clean' on camera.
Another example of how radio and video are joined together now, happened this morning on Heart in the UK when the station gave away £1 Million to one listener.
It's a radio show but it's a TV show too!!
Morning co-host, Amanda Holden, knows TV. She's great at on-camera presenting. She's been doing it for years! This is radio in 2021.
One of the reasons we have built a video portion into our RadioStar contest again this year is because of this - if you're on the radio now, you need to understand video.
As our friend Phillippe Chapot from the European Radio Show in Paris said: "Video follows Audio". Come up with the radio idea first and everything else will follow :)
