Snooker - What it can teach us about Radio.

Over the past week or so, Tracey and I have been sneaking peeks at the World Snooker Championships, which is going on at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

Snooker isn't everyone's game but don't sniff at it too soon...

You can learn a few things about life and radio from watching well-suited men pot coloured balls on a green cloth-covered table.

For example:

* Patience is a virtue. Possess it. Cultivate it and Practice it.

* Sometimes it's possible to over-think a simple situation.

* No matter how good you are or how difficult your job, there will always be someone who thinks you have it easy and that they can do it better!

* Perseverance and practice...both will get you further.

* You gain respect when you look after your appearance.

* Everyone starts out equal.

* Plan ahead. It will make the next move easier.

If you can think of any that ring true for you...pop them in the comments, we'd love to see them.

Final word to Tracey: "Patience....Could take years for a Big Break"!
