When we first saw this, we thought 'Game changer'. The only problem being, it's in Beta and on ios only. Bummer.
If only some other mega-corp were to develop something similar.....oh, hello Facebook!
That's right, your local friendly Social Media Giant is about to launch their version of Clubhouse, called 'Hotline'.
Why would this interest you, a radio person?
Well, now you have another platform to engage your audience on. You will be able to talk with your listener through Facebook and then use their audio on-air as part of your show.
That's one use. There are SO many others. The only restriction will be your imagination.
Know one thing ...when these launch properly, you will NEED to embrace them and be on them. You can't afford to bury your head in the sand and pretend that this is not the future. Embrace it and USE it.
