Best Morning Shows This Week.

Listening to morning radio this week has brought a few thoughts:

1. Chemistry is all-important .

2. Respect for your co-host comes across on-air through your tone of voice.

3. Know your stuff...and if you don't...ask your listener for help. But...know your stuff!

4. Talk to me. The great morning presenters sit down and 'talk'. Don't blurt instructions at me (your listener). I'm not a 'task' for you to tick off your 'to-do' list.

5. You don't need to over-think. Take a simple concept, structure it and present it to me.

6. If you put me on air and I don't sound interested/excited etc...that's your fault. You are in control of what goes to air.

7. Laugh well. If you and your co-host laugh at everything simultaneously, it will sound chaotic and out of control. That's not how I want to spend my morning.

8. No need to shout at me. I can hear you.

9. The best shows speak to the listener about the ordinary parts of life and turn them into compelling and entertaining content. They sound effortless and natural.
