Listening to radio lately, along with the entries for our RadioStar '21 competition, I am struck by the fact that there's something very noticeable about Presentation compared to 2018. It's more relatable, interactive and very natural.
Even our Radio Star judges have picked up on this in their feedback.
During tough times in history, people have always come together and lifted each other's spirits. Recently I wrote an article - "Live Your Listener's Life" and I think this is just proving my point.
Like all difficult moments in history, there has always been change in culture, fashion, music and attitude.
Recently, seeing the crowds at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield for the World Snooker Championships as well as the recent Music Festival at Sefton Park in Liverpool...you can feel that different energy. It's a type of 'camaraderie'.
Could we be on the verge of a radio revolution?
It will be nice for something good to come out of these last couple of years.
Here's to the future!
I guess a lot of it is to do with this huge experience that we ALL share currently.. Maybe the virus has made our communication skills go viral?
