3 Things from the Weekend.

 A few things caught our ears from the weekend.

1. Just heard..."We're heading to the news at 10....back soon..." (on National radio!!!) Our question is: Where are you going? This was one of the very first lessons I learned...taught to be by the great Pat Courtenay (Radio Nova PM Drive) when he trained me in, at Sunshine 101 in Dublin.

2. "...on air with you this Saturday afternoon". Ah. Not NEXT Saturday? Or last Saturday? Good to clarify which Saturday it is! Your listener knows what day of the week it currently is. This is the ultimate 'mingle'!

3. Back timing to the news at TOTH? Keep your eye on the ball and start your calculations early. We heard the "1 Minute 30" version of a 4-minute classic. Doh! Nothing annoys listeners more than their favourite song destroyed by an early fade. In 2021...they need you to honour their songs even more...Spotify is always lurking!
